Vola Wallet ("we," "our," or "the Extension") is a self-custodial cryptocurrency wallet browser extension that allows users to manage accounts and interact with decentralized applications (dApps) on the Cardano and Vola Network blockchains. Vola Wallet stores the following information only in your browser's local storage, on your own device. This data is never transmitted to us or to any third party by the Extension:
If you uninstall the Extension or clear your browser data without first backing up your seed phrase, this information will be permanently lost and your funds will become inaccessible.
To show you balances, fetch transaction history, and broadcast transactions you sign, the Extension communicates with blockchain infrastructure providers. These requests contain your public wallet addresses and, when broadcasting, your signed transactions. They do not contain your private keys, seed phrase, or password.

When you connect to a decentralized application, the dApp itself can see your public wallet address and any information you choose to share with it. Vola Wallet acts only as a signing tool and a messenger between you and the dApp. Your interactions with dApps are governed by their privacy policies, not ours.

Vola Wallet does not load or execute remote code. All JavaScript and WebAssembly used by the Extension is bundled inside the Extension package and reviewed as part of the Chrome Web Store submission. The Extension makes network requests only to fetch blockchain data and to broadcast transactions you have signed.
Because we do not receive your wallet data, we use information only in the following limited ways:
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising, marketing, or any unrelated purpose. We do not use your data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
Your private keys and seed phrase are encrypted on your device using your password before being stored. You are responsible for keeping your password and seed phrase safe. Anyone with access to your seed phrase can take control of your funds. We will never ask you for your seed phrase or password, and you should never share them with anyone, especially if anyone claiming to be from Vola Support, Vola Team or anyone affiliated to the team.
We follow industry-standard practices in the design of the Extension, but no software is completely secure. Blockchain transactions are irreversible; please verify every transaction carefully before signing.
Vola Wallet is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because the Extension does not collect personal information from you, there is typically nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on our end. You can at any time:

Vola Wallet is available globally. By using the Extension, you understand that your locally stored data remains on your device wherever you are, and that network requests to blockchain infrastructure may be routed through servers located in various countries.
The Extension relies on third-party blockchain infrastructure providers and public blockchain explorers. Their handling of any data they receive (such as your public address when you query a balance) is governed by their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top and, for material changes, provide notice through the Extension or our website. Continued use of the Extension after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
